Rajka Kupesic School of Classical Ballet opened in 1993 with the goal of providing an enriched program to train and educate students in many facets of Classical Ballet. Classes are taught in accordance with the Vaganova teaching method. Through the process, students develop style, graceful movement and professional presentation. In addition, students develop discipline, ability to focus, coordination, poise and confidence. The number of students in each class is limited to ensure personal attention and quality of instruction which are essential in the development of a young dancer. In order to assess student progress, graded classical ballet syllabus exams are offered with the Society of Russian Ballet. Since ballet is a performing art, we consider performances to be an important part. |

(ages 3-5) children explore rhythm and movement to the music | Pre-ballet

(ages 6 and up) featured in all major ballets, character dances are stylised classical ballet choreographies based on national, ethnic and folk dance traditions while historical dances are based on contemporary court dances. | Exams
