Peter Stanton School of Dance has been in existence since 1988. We are a school dedicated to teaching the joy of dance. We are known specifically for the year-end show. This always is a story or theme incorporating all the students. Exam and competition classes have always been a part of the school but not the main focus. We focus on improving the student?€¢âs awareness of the Art of Dance. Student?€¢âs opinions are welcome and encouraged. Everyone is important and everyone can dance. We do not believe in forcing any student to compete or take exams. Dancing should be fun not a chore. All of our teachers have been performers and try to instill this love of dance in the students. At Peter Stanton School of Dance Inc. we offer classes in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Modern, Hip Hop, Flamenco and many other |

Dancing Instructions |
Ballet Ballet begins by experiencing the joy of ballet while learning the early preparation techniques needed in subsequent levels. Exam classes as well as recreational classes are offered. | Musical Theatre Musical theatre encompasses three art forms; singing, acting and dancing. Unlike most schools who lip sync, our students perform, SINGING LIVE at recitals and competitions. Our musical theatre program is designed to teach students to be confident in all three areas, through vocal technique. | Social Ballroom The social ballroom classes are taught by Peter and Annette Stanton. They are designed for fun. We teach regular people how to enjoy themselves in normal dance settings. The dance steps and partnering skills are easy to learn and fun to do. | Bellydancing Bellydancing classes are all about fun. Students will learn the four components of bellydance as well as the various styles with an emphasis on both technique and improvisation. Classes are held in a relaxed atmosphere where lessons are adaptable to students special needs. | Summer Camp - A Combined Cultural and Culinary Experience! Participants will benefit from the exciting diversity of daily workshops provided by three professional companies. A day at camp will begin with a morning with the Canadian Children?€¢âs Theatre Company where children participate in a variety of instructional theatre workshops including improvisation. |
