Jacqueline's School of Dance is an established dance studio in the West Durham region. Our current location offers three bright, spacious, and climate controlled studios which operate six days a week. Our staff are fully qualified BATD (British Association of Teachers of Dancing) professionals, complemented by senior dancers who are working their way to full and complete dance instructor accreditation under the guidelines of the BATD. We offer classes in ballet, acro, jazz, tap, highland, cabaret, lyrical, and pointe. Classes are organized according to age and experience on both recreational and competitive levels. Our Twinkle-Toes dancers start as young as three years old while there seems to be no limit to the ages of our adult classes. |

3 & 4 years olds learn the basics of ballet, coordination and rhythm through creative dance and song and dance routines. | Combo I and II
4-6 years olds. In this special class the dancers experience ballet, jazz and tap. This gives them a clear understanding of the three types of dance through their own experience and at one cost to mum and dad. | Ballet
6 years and older. Classical ballet taught under the British Association of Teacher's of Dance syllabus | Jazz
6 years and older. Jazz technique taught with a hip hop flavour. Examinations available. | Tap
6 years and older. The art of making music with your feet. Examinations available. | Acro
6 years and up. Combining gymnastic tumbling and dance. | Hip Hop
8 years and up. Street dance with a relaxed but fun style and lots of attitude. | Highland
5 years and older. Traditional Scottish Dancing. Examinations available | Cabaret
9 years and older. Dancing in a "Broadway Show" in character using singing and/or lip synching. |
