The practice of Drs. Hruska Schill, Campbell and Horner has a very long history in Oshawa.
The original practice was started in the back of Lovell Drug Store almost 100 years ago. It was eventually purchased by Dr. A.E. (Ted) Johnson, who graduated from Optometry School in 1935. He practiced until 1993, when he decided to retire. ?€©«Teeder?€? passed away in August, 2005, but still lives in our hearts.
Dr. Janet Hruska Schill purchased the practice from Dr. Johnson in 1981 after graduation from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry. She continued to practice in the downtown location until moving the practice first to the west end of Oshawa, and recently to our new permanent home in the former Kinsmen Community hall. |

For diagnosing glaucoma, we have been pleased to offer visual field testing (perimetry) for several years. We have recently added digital retinal photography as a means of not only documenting the health of the internal eye, but also using the photos as a tool to monitor the health over time. | Glasses

We have a very busy contact lens practice, with our fitting room containing over 2000 trial contacts. We fit all types and brands of contacts, including gas permeables, disposables, colours, bifocals, daily disposables, and the new silicone hydrogels for overnight wear. | Laser Refrective Surgery
