In a city South–West of Paris a summer festival takes places yearly celebrating “La Belle Epoque” (“The Good Times”). This refers to a period dated prior to World War One where artisans of cloth, canvas, clay and food gathered together to exchange ideas. An escape from the busy world of Paris, this city was a place where artists such as Picasso and Zolá could retreat to.
This Atlantic coastline city is also recognized for its seafood, outdoor markets and fine fresh food, bringing us to the concept of an upscale, modern brasserie named after a city and a time we would like you to experience–Royan.
With a combined experience of more than twenty years, brothers and co–owners Paul and Joe Haskett bring with them not only a knowledge of, but a passion for, the restaurant industry.
This passion has led both to work at a variety of restaurants throughout Canada in cities such as Oakville, Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver. Returning to their hometown of Oakville, Paul and Joe are using their diverse backgrounds to create a restaurant which is bold and new.
Together Paul and Joe have assembled a team which they feel can maintain the level of excellence they aspire to. The members of this team not only have the expertise but they have the personalities to make Royan a unique dining experience in Oakville. |
