Ever since I was old enough to grab a chair and pull it up to the counter to help my father make breakfast, I was passionate about creating wonderful things with food. I spent countless hours helping my grandmother make cookies or other delicious sweets, even if all I could do at the time was steal some chocolate chips or help lick the batter off the spoons!
As I got older I took great pleasure in making my family's birthday and celebration cakes. I now live in the Streetsville area of Mississauga, Ontario where my wonderful husband and I just celebrated our first wedding anniversary this June.
Every year in Streetsville, the first weekend in June, we celebrate the Bread and Honey Festival in town, where I won 3rd place for my Carrot Cake in the Baking Competiton this year! |
