At Authentic TaeKwonDo, we call our philosophy of practice ?€©«The Experience of Accomplishment?€?. We believe that for the vast majority of Canadian students today, the central value of studying TaeKwonDo, of TaeKwonDo practice, is to be found not in preparation for athletic competition but rather in the student's experience of accomplishment in the practice itself, from beginning to completing the course as a black belt. For an average student, attending practice two or three times a week, the course takes about four years. We believe the central value of studying TaeKwonDo for our students is found in the actual experience of physical self-development through to black belt graduation, through the regular, progressive, realistically challenging physical practice. |
