Bonding
We apply a natural looking material onto the tooth to cover up small cracks or gaps. The material is then hardened, smoothed and polished.Bonding can help correct many different smile problems, such as stubborn stains, gaps between teeth, or shipped or uneven teeth.
Fluoride
Fluoride is a critical ingredient in the formation of healthy teeth. It integrates into the enamel of developing teeth and helps resist cavities. We can advise you. Children who receive fluoride via their water or use fluoride toothpaste or mouth rinses may not need a supplement.
Bridges
A bridge is used to fill in gaps left by missing teeth. It is an appliance which is permanently cemented in the mouth. There are different types of bridges but they all work the same way to show a natural tooth instead of a space. Bridges use the tooth on either side of the space.
Orthodontics
Using braces, arch expansion appliances and functional appliances, orthodontics treatment applies gentle pressure to move teeth to their desired position. Orthodontics straightens teeth, brings your bite into alignment and improves both the appearance and function of your teeth.
Bite Problems
A malocclusion means your teeth do not meet properly when your mouth is closed. We can diagnose a malocclusion (or bad bite) with a thorough exam that includes taking models and x-rays of your teeth.A bad bite can create jaw pain, headaches, premature wearing of teeth, trouble chewing.
Periodontics (Gum Therapy)
Periodontal disease is made up of several stages. It is usually painless in the beginning and therefore goes undetected. Because it occurs mostly under the gums we cannot tell just by looking at the teeth above the gums. Dental x-rays and a thorough gum exam, called a periodontal assessment.
Crowns
Your natural crown is the part of your tooth visible above the gum. A replacement crown is a cover (much like a thimble) placed over a weakened or decayed tooth. An orlay is a smaller more conservative form of a crown that functions similarly to a crown.Crowns are extremely durable.
Root Canal Treatment
When the space inside the tooth (the root canal system) becomes infected then endodontic or root canal treatment is required. This space that is normally filled with nerves and blood vessels is called the pulp. When the pulp is contaminated with bacteria pain and swelling may occur.
Dental Implants
A dental implant is a small titanium post that is inserted below the gumline to serve as an anchor for an artificial tooth.Dental implants are usually placed in one visit. After approximately 6 months an implant is ready for a false tooth.Dental implants give you a more natural looking and feeling.
Whitening
We may apply a whitening gel during an office visit, or give you a custom-fitted tray to wear at home.It depends on the severity of the discoloration. You may notice a difference after only a few applications.Whitened teeth can re-stain with exposure to staining agents, or darken over time.
